Our philosophy
No matter what Clark’s Market you happen to be shopping in, our core philosophy of offering freshness and quality you can trust, at a reasonable price, remains the same.
Quality:
Our commitment to quality has been steady since we opened our first store in 1978, and our customers demand nothing less than the best. Our produce comes through Associated Food Stores in Salt Lake City, Utah, which has been serving independent grocery stores since 1940. The volume of business that they do -- shipping over 750 truckloads of groceries to stores each week -- means produce has a high turnover rate to stay as fresh as possible.
We also love to specialize products from regional farmers and manufacturers in our store, especially when it comes to partnering with local farms. While we all enjoy the opportunity to taste grapes from Chile during the winter months, we know our customers enjoy the flavor of a regionally grown peach or ear of sweet corn whenever one is available. We do our best to bring that to you.
In the instance that something isn’t as fresh as it could be, or up to your standards, we are happy to exchange it, no questions asked. We hope our customers don’t have to return items, but we certainly understand when they do.
Value:

Clark’s Market carries Western Family brand products, a superior brand of reasonably priced items that has been in business since 1939. By the numbers: Western Family offers over 6,000 separate items from canned and frozen food items to paper goods, sold in 3,500 stores in 23 states in the United States. In our opinion, Western Family is superior to many other private labels, and as you’ll find, they’re always better priced.
Proudly independent:
Unlike large, chain grocery stores that are unable to quickly adapt to their environments because of company policy, Clark’s Market runs each store independently to be a true reflection of the community’s desire. A large company doesn’t call the shots on what we stock – we depend on hiring managers who are leaders in the community, who are knowledgeable and know their departments.
